Who is this course for?
This course has been created for ALL health professionals- including doctors and allied health professionals.
What is it?
Over Zoom I present a topic and relevant case studies over 8 sessions. During the 5 months you can access a self-paced learning platform with EVERYTHING you need.
Join a closed Facebook Group to ask questions, build networks, and share ideas and resources.
This program is capped at 25 participants to allow time for evenly distributed questions and discussion.
What are the topics discussed?
- Feeding norms
- Oral and pharyngeal dysphagia
-Tongue ties, tongue thrust swallows and speech- what does the evidence say.
- Causes of feeding aversions (breast, bottle and/or solids)
- Allergies and esophageal diseases and the impact on feeding
- Intervention for feeding aversions
- Introducing solids, including premature babies
- Bottle dependence after 12 months of age
- Free water protocol, thick fluids, video swallows, aspiration and tube weaning.
